The late Irene Mura Shroder, renown slab clay sculptor, was shown building work for “Doomed Timber”, an 2011 group exhibition at Eastern Southland Gallery.  Behind Irene, graphite depicts an historical photo which informed her work.  A barren wasteland remains where a vast Seaward Bush flourished only a few years prior.
