About ‘Fuchsia and Coral Totally Suits You’
‘Fuchsia and Coral Totally Suits You’ starts the conversation with ‘Thank You, Darling! You Look Marvellous, Too’
It is part of my ‘In the Pink’ series where whimsy and fun are at the forefront. As a small collection of six works, containing 3 matched sets, my aim is to evoke a sense of playfulness and fun.
The Materials and Directive for ‘In the Pink’
For ‘In the Pink’ series my prime directive was to make the works that work well in the six pink frames that I discovered in box left over from my old business. My mission was to be playful and work whimsically.
Inktense block, pigment ink pen, Dutch gold, and Fabriano paper comprise these compositions. Each components contributes to the texture, depth, and overall appearance of the artworks.
Inktense’s vivacity is complemented by the fine details and intricate line flowing from pigment ink pens. The permanent, lightfast ink ensures that the fine line-work remains crisp and vibrant over time. I like the way the Dutch gold adds a layer of opulence and luminosity that interacts with the vibrant colors of the Inktense.
The Original Debut for ‘In the Pink’
The original debut for ‘In the Pink’ Series was disrupted when I had to close my studio in order manage the extensive repair of the floors in my home. Despite this slow down I was determined to debut this series, and had just launched a campaign, when a hacker posted nasty stuff on my Facebook, resulting in expulsion from Facebook and Instagram.
It’s now 2024. The house is back in order and I’m in the studio right now putting the finishing touches on my year-long plunge into making 52 abstracts in 52 weeks. I’m ready to properly reintroduce ‘In The Pink’.
Reintroducing the Series: A Fresh Start
‘In the Pink’ re-emerges in November 2024 at extraordinary prices for my email subscribers as a way for me to celebrate emerging stronger and more determined than ever to persevere and create. I’ll be notifying my email list first with email-list-only prices when I officially debut the series. So, join my email list below today.
