‘Scamper and Scoot’
‘Scamper and Scoot,’ is a playful abstract oil-based work to which I added a luxurious touch of Dutch gold leaf. It was created to stir your senses and breathe life into the space into which it is placed. Are you looking to add a splash of colour to your space, this is the perfect piece for you.
The Essence of ‘Scamper and Scoot’
‘Scamper and Scoot’ helped me learn to play; something that is not easy for me. Making marks in a new way (oil-based ink, oil sticks, and crayons), using a dynamic colour palette, evokes a sense of movement and energy, giving the work a sense of life. The vibrant hues dance across the canvas, creating a captivating visual experience that is open to your own interpretation and meaning.
About ‘Moving On’
‘Scamper and Scoot’ is a part of ‘Moving On‘, my series of 8 works inspired by an earlier series, Wabi Sabi. It is a small portion of the fruits from a 12 month (and counting) quest to play with abstract and have fun in the studio. Look out for the debut of the remainder of my ’52 in 52′ works.
