Charles Bargue Plate 1.8 Drawing in the Foot of the Medici Venus

Today we’re drawing the foot of Medici Venus Plate 1.8 from the Charles Bargue Drawing Course. The Medici Venus is actually a copy of an earlier Bronze statue. The Medici Venus is one of the most copied sculptures in classical art. The Medici’s were powerful textile factory owners, bankers, politicians of the city-state of Florence, who are widely regarded as patrons of the Florentine Renaissance.
