Drawing Plate 1.12 Charles Bargue; Lean-on Hand and Hand in Repose

Today we’re looking at Plate 1.12 from the Charles Bargue Drawing Course Book which is a hand leaned upon and a hand in repose grasping a bar. My aim for these two drawings was to get accurate structure and emphasise the difference between cast shadow and form shadow. The complex shape of the shadow in the reposed hand is an extra challenge.
