About ‘Frolic and Romp’
‘Frolic and Romp,’ is a work from my ‘Moving On‘ series which delves into themes of transition, growth, and pushing myself out of my comfort zone by plunging headlong into a year-long (and counting) pursuit of creating abstract work.
‘Frolic and Romp’ celebrates ‘moving on’, with vibrant colours and dynamic forms conveying a sense of movement and vitality. The swirling patterns and interlacing shapes evoke a feeling of carefree exuberance. Perhaps freedom comes by letting go of past constraints. This piece not only complements the series but also enriches it by offering a glimpse into the joyous and liberating aspects of moving beyond the past.
Visual Elements and Composition
There never was a question about using a vibrant colour palette, choosing to intermingle bold primary colours with softer pastel hues. The organic forms seem to dance across the canvas, lending a sense of movement and fluidity to the composition.
