The meaning of ‘Imbroglio’

Imbroglio! I love a good Italian word! It means: a complicated or problematic situation; an argument or dispute, panic or disorder; or a sequence of unbelievably absurd, complicated and uncommon events.

The Imbroglio begins

Perhaps this is an apt description of my abstract journey thus far, and, indeed, of making this work. Pushing on by adding colourful and vivid layers of ink seemed to do nothing for this work at first. Ultimately, turning it upside down about midway through, gave me new perspective and impetus for its completion.

As part of the Hurly Burly

As part of the ’Hurly Burly’ series, this dazzling work will add sizzle to a bland spot in your home.  It is inspired by Rhema Meditation No. 6.
