Wabi Sabi

The Wabi Sabi collection arose from a period of restlessness due to a sense of impending change. Furthermore, I found returning to my studio part-time in the evening, as a way to relax after running my business.  Accordingly, I layered Inktense and masking fluid repetitiously on small cards made of Fabriano paper. Furthermore, outlining real and imagined shapes with pigment ink proved satisfying.

Originally named ‘Minutiae’, I changed the name to its current, because I filled rips left on the paper from removing the masking fluid with metallic gold paint, thus making it a celebration of the imperfect.
