‘Hubbub’ – Abstract on Canvas by Beverly Claridge

ABSTRACT ARTWORK ON CANVAS SHEET

‘Hubbub’ by Beverly Claridge, Invercargill abstract artist
Oil-based media on canvas sheet, liquid gold leaf
310 x 230mm or 12.2 x 9.1 inches

What’s the Hubbub, bub?

‘Hubbub’, a busy, noisy situation, is an apt moniker for this work, which was inspired by an earlier work, Rhema 7, which is a rather quiet, contemplative piece. You can see the older work, and the remainder of  Rhema Mediation by clicking hereOr, you can buy remaining Rhema Meditation works by clicking here.

About Hubbub and Hurly Burly

In avoiding a replication of technique and theme used with my prior ’Moving On’ series, my studio once again entered a chaotic  and  exciting period of discovering different ways to create ‘Hurly Burly’. Playing with oil-based printing ink and liquid gold leaf pen was bolstered by bold and unusual colour combinations and shapes made with coloured pigment pen.  Whilst not physically noisy, the ideas and decisions racing through my head sometimes seemed riotous.

Amping up experimentation in a more complex and refined manner for ‘Hurly Burly’ works is satisfying.

‘Hubbub’ pairs up with ‘Brouhaha’ for extra dazzle in your space.  Brouhaha can be purchased by clicking here.
