Introducting ‘Gambol and Flit’

‘Gambol and Flit’, as part of ‘Moving On’,  is the first series I’m presenting after my yearlong head-first dive into abstraction.  “Gambol” refers to light-hearted, joyful movement, often associated with playful activities such as skipping or dancing.   Apt words to describe  my pursuit of finding delight in the journey rather than merely focusing on the destination.

‘Flit’, meaning agile transition, is derived from the natural world where creatures such as birds and insects flit from place to place with remarkable ease. This term perhaps encapsulates my desire to quickly adapt with fluidity in creating abstracts. Flitting signifies the ability to navigate transitions swiftly and gracefully, embodying a state of readiness and resilience.

Moving On: The Series

‘Moving On‘, with it’s rich tapestry of abstract themes, is an outpouring of my personal change and growth, in and out of the studio. Central to this narrative are the themes of resilience, adaptability, and self-discovery, with my aim of creating a compelling exploration of transitioning from one stage of life to another.
