Painting Southland skies was as challenging as they are amazing. Fantastic formations would often compel me to steer off to the side of the road to simply to enjoy the show.
Sou’Westers from the cold Southern Ocean and warmer Tasman Sea push rapidly over the South Island Alps creating striking daily displays across our province with seldom a cloudless day.
I’m pleased to feature their beauty in my month-long art challenge.
